What if you could prevent yourself from getting Alzheimer's? Or Diabetes? Or Cancer? How about Heart Disease, Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Parkinson's, and a whole host of other ailments? How will your life be in 5, 10, or even 20 years from now? Would it be worth it to you? It sure would! It's not just about genetics as that plays only a small part in actually manifesting certain conditions. It's really about EPIGENETICS. This is a matter of how you take care of yourself, the foods you eat, your environment, your emotional outlook, stress levels, and more. When an organ or gland are genetically weak to begin with, they can break down quicker when circumstances aren't supporting them. We can contribute to the breakdown of our health, or prevent it.
I just read an article about research showing the underlying findings which can prevent Alzheimers. This listed three things we commonly look for in preventive health care. These are actually important for preventing ALL diseases. But there is more they missed.
1. Inflammation - We are a highly inflamed society! Look at how many aches and pain people have. We eat too many highly inflammatory foods like sugar, processed foods, alcohol, wheat, dairy, corn and more. We are also exposed to numerous toxins daily which contributes to the problem. Stress exacerbates it, creating stress tears in the lining of our arteries producing more plaque. When we have chronic inflammation in our bodies, our circulation gets constricted diminishing blood flow to the brain and all other organs and glands. This contributes to Alzheimers, migraines, heart disease, liver issues, thyroid problems, and so much more. I see this all too frequently. Just taking Turmeric alone is not the solution.
2. Nutrient and Hormone Deficiencies - Our body requires a wide range of vitamins, minerals, trace minerals, amino acids, essential fatty acids, enzymes and more to function properly and do repair work as needed. We can eat well yet still be very deficient in many nutrients. One problem I see often is poor assimilation of our food. Even if we are eating good organic food, if our gastric juices like betaine hydrochloride, pepsin and pancreatin are not sufficient, we cannot assimilate well. If our small intestines are congested and sluggish, we cannot absorb the nutrients we need. Plus many commercially raised foods are nutrient poor. We are eating less grains (which is good) but not getting enough B vitamins. Many people can't even methylate their B vitamins into a usable form anymore. When we are stressed our body burns up both B and C vitamins and magnesium. If our liver is sluggish we can't process our fat soluble vitamins like A, D, and E, all of which support the immune system. Poor quality or hard pressed vitamin tablets are not the solution.
Our body also needs a wide range of hormones and neurotransmitters to function properly. We need hormones like insulin to keep our blood sugar balanced, thyroid hormones to keep metabolism balanced, reproductive hormones and even stress hormones. Our entire line of endocrine glands not only have to be kept functioning properly to produce all these hormones, but our liver has to be functioning sufficiently to get the hormones into our blood stream. Our brain produces a variety of neurotransmitters to help calm us, deal with stress, relax the excitability of the nerves, make us feel happy, balanced and satisfied, and so much more. Do you know well yours are doing?
3. Toxins - This category encompasses a wide range of detrimental influences to our health like acids, heavy metals, chemicals, aldehydes, pharmaceuticals, exhaust, fungus, mold, yeast, micro-organisms, parasites, even toxic emotions and trauma's. When there are toxins accumulated, there are likely parasites that feed on them and our immune system weakens. Most of us don't eliminate toxins sufficiently. Our colon, liver, and even our kidneys and lungs can become congested or impacted which produces more inflammation. This can lead to the slow decline of normal, healthy body functioning, which we tend to adjust to over time saying it is all part of aging. But is it?
4. Oxidative Stress - Known as free-radical damage, our cells start to 'rust' and decay inside of us and we don't even realize it until our health declines. We just attribute it to the aging process, but it actually speeds it up! There are 160,000 published studies on Pubmed.com (The National Institute of Health website) linking Oxidative stress to over 200 diseases! We are exposed to a gazillion (that's with 26 zero's!) free radicals daily. After the age of 20, our bodies own ability to fight free radical damage starts going down hill. Eating antioxidants doesn't offer that much help. Science has shown that it takes 1 antioxidant to fight 1 free radical, which is a damaged cell. The antioxidant gives the damaged cell an electron to correct it, but then the antioxidant becomes a free-radical!
There is an easy solution to turn your bodies OWN ability back ON to fight one million free radicals per second, every second! You would have to eat daily 375 oranges, or drink 87 glasses of wine, or 11 lbs. of blueberries, or take 120 vitamin C capsules, and you would still not be able to keep up with the oxidative stress we are exposed to daily! What if you could reverse the cellular damage you already accumulated? Now you CAN!
All of these things CAN be reversed and improved to help your body stay strong, flexible, vital and healthy for many years to come. Most of us do many good things, but not enough to actually prevent and repair the accumulated damage before it is too late. This is one big reason WHY a Comprehensive Health Analysis with natural prevent health programs are ESSENTIAL and invaluable. If you knew that you had a genetic weakness which COULD lead to Alzheimer's, or Heart disease, or Diabetes, arthritis, or OCPD, would you do whatever it takes to prevent that from happening? We all know people who have endured terrible suffering from chronic diseases. Our allopathic medical community is vital for many injuries and circumstances, but they do NOT help us prevent disease. Quite the contrary. Do you know how expensive it is to get sick? Even if you have insurance, the costs and suffering can be exuberant!
Some people say they will only do medical care if their insurance covers it. What about PREVENTIVE care? You have car insurance and home owners insurance, but we still need to do regular maintenance and care to keep them in good shape and not just wait for a catastrophe to happen. The same is true for our bodies! Don't wait until it is a bigger problem than you can handle. If you want more information on some of these issues, let me know, or better yet, come for an evaluation and see what YOUR particular body needs to stay healthy! It is invaluable and totally worth the investment in the long run if you can prevent many of these diseases before they start.
