Proven - Antioxidants Slow Aging!

Free Radicals - the cause of disease and aging
In all situations of disease, ill health, injury or aging, there is tissue damage at the cellular level. This tissue
damage can occur quickly as with injuries or slowly over time as in degenerative disease. Free radicals are
the most common cause of this tissue damage and free radicals have been linked to every known disease
by more than 6000 scientific studies.

Free radicals are molecules that are over-reactive because they are unbalanced electronically (they
contain an unpaired electron.) In the attempt to become balanced they rob electrons from the molecules
that make up the cells in your body, damaging or destroying them.
Controllable amounts of free radicals are formed during normal cellular functions, but excess free radicals
can result from drugs, air pollution, tobacco smoke, pesticides, herbicides, chemicals in our food and
water, allergic reactions, emotional upsets, excessive exercise, and even an excess of certain dietary
substances such as fats.

Free radicals damage cell structure and reduce the cell's ability to function. One example is aged,
leathery skin. Here the cell walls have become rigid due to free radical damage. Just as metal fences can
rust with age, our bodies are "rusting" due to damage from free radicals.
By helping to deactivate free radials, malfunctions of the circulatory and immune systems are diminished
and aging slows.
Proanthocyanidins are one of the most valuable nutrients you can take and will make
you look and feel better!

Your Bodies Defense
Fortunately, there are special nutrients, called antioxidants that protect against free radical damage. They
offer a powerful nutritional tool to prevent illness and even slow down aging. Examples of antioxidant
nutrients are Vitamins A, C & E and the minerals zinc and selenium.

And now, new to most Americans, is a super potent antioxidant commonly known as Proanthocyanidins.
These active ingredients are the most potent, natural, free radical scavengers yet discovered. In tests done
to measure the ability of substances to neutralize free radicals,
proanthocyanidins proved to be 20 times
more powerful than Vitamin C and 50 times more powerful than Vitamin E!

The Amazing Discovery
The research which led to the discovery and isolation of Oligomeric Proanthocyanidins or OPC's can be
traced back as long ago as the winter of 1535 when French explorer Jacques Cartier attempted to sail up
what is now known as the St. Lawrence River in Canada. The river froze, trapping his ship and crew.
Cartier and his crew tried to survive the best they could, but lacking fresh fruit and vegetables, they soon fell
victim to scurvy. Some 25 crew members perished before being rescued by the friendly Quebec Indians.
The Indians introduced Cartier and his crew to a tea they had brewed from the bark of pine trees growing in
the area. The tea eliminated the crew's nutritional deficiencies and helped save their lives. Cartier wrote of
this amazing discovery in his journal titled 'Voyages Au Canada'.

More than 400 years later French professor Jacques Masquelier, on assignment at the University of
Quebec doing bioflavonoid research, read Cartier's book and was particularly intrigued by his
documentation. Dr. Masquelier picked up on Cartier's revelations and after considerable testing was able
to isolate the active components in the bark of this unique pine tree.

High-ORAC Foods May Slow Aging

Foods that score high in an antioxidant analysis called ORAC may protect cells and their components from
oxidative damage, according to studies of animals and human blood at the Agricultural Research Service's
Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging at Tufts in Boston. ARS is the chief scientific agency of the U.S.
Department of Agriculture.
ORAC, short for Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity, is a test tube analysis
that measures the total antioxidant power of foods and nutritional compounds.

According to the University of Michigan, Comprehensive Cancer Center, the measurement of ORAC is just
a fancy way of saying, "How well does a certain food or nutritional compound help my body fight diseases
like Cancer and Heart Disease?"  The higher the number... the more that food or nutritional compound will
help you.

Early findings suggest that eating plenty of high-ORAC fruits and vegetables--such as spinach and
blueberries--may help slow the processes associated with aging in both body and brain.

"If these findings are borne out in further research, young and middle-aged people may be able to reduce
risk of diseases of aging--including senility--simply by adding high-ORAC foods to their diets," said ARS
Administrator Floyd P. Horn.

How do we compare?

Pro Vitamin Complete has an ORAC score of 26,000+ for the whole bottle or 880 points per serving.
Pro Liberator now has an ORAC score of
125,000+ for the entire bottle or 4,166 points per serving.
Pro Vitamin Complete along with your Pro Liberator now gives you the antioxidant equivalent of eating
about 16 servings of fresh fruits per serving!

The following first shows the ORAC scores of comparable products based on their bottle size. Then the
antioxidant equivalent per serving to fresh fruits. And then how many bottles you would need of the
comparable product to get the same antioxidant protection with the Pro Vitamin / Pro Liberator combo.
NOTE: the following ORAC scores were either published in the individual companies websites or
independent tests were performed and the results are shown.

ORAC score Equal to How many bottles:

Product                                      ORAC value     Servings    Bottles
Pro Vitamin / Pro liberator        150,000+          15.62         1
